With a short flight to Geneva, the excellent efficient Swiss service and then a 1 hour 15 min transfer to Megeve, it’s an easy journey to your destination and so worth it!
Megeve is a beautiful French Alps town with some excellent hotels on offer including the 5 star Four Seasons Megeve and the Beaumier L’Alpaga (where I stayed) to Novotel Mont-Blanc and various other good 4 star hotels. There are also some stunning hotels in the pipeline so its definitely up and coming!
My stay at the Beaumier groups L’Alpaga hotel was fabulous, it’s a little unexpected gem in a beautiful location.
I wouldn’t have necessarily thought of the French Alps in the Spring but this trip has definitely opened my eyes to that and would recommend it to anyone in the future. We certainly made the most of the short time we had at the destination – doing a day hike to the most stunning lakes, breathtaking doesn’t come close, to learning Curling – so much fun had!
If adventure, beauty and good food are important to you, this is definitely somewhere to consider.
