The event is a great mix of business and pleasure but was a busy four days with 38 supplier appointments, a team building activity and off site dinners most nights.

I really enjoyed the opening key note speech from Andrew Grill who delivered a fascinating presentation called ‘What will disrupt your business, be the disrupter and don’t wait to be disrupted.’ It was intended to make you think about how to make your business stand out from the rest.

David Meade’s closing speech was a great way to end the business element of the event and really captured and involved the audience. His topic was about the ‘Psychology of decision and how to utilise this to get the best out of your clients.’

As a quality event there were only high end suppliers and the service was amazing from the very start with the partner DMC Travco Events, Pacific World. Everyone was given a branded welcome pack and coffee table book detailing all attendees too.

There was a choice of activities for one of the afternoons and I chose the Dune bashing in which a convoy of 15 vehicles headed off to the desert (25 minutes from the hotel), where we then experienced the thrills of off roading. Everyone then gathered in the desert for sundowner drinks whist watching a falcon show. The sunset was beautiful and something I will not forget in a hurry.

We were also treated to some amazing dinners. One was hosted by the Ritz Carlton, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert and was a beautiful 1001 candle themed evening with live music and fire dancers. Another dinner was hosted by The Cove Rotana Resort, where we experienced a beach party and BBQ. There was also live music which got everyone dancing and provided a great party atmosphere - a fantastic way to celebrate a great event.
