Chris's thoughts on the lockdown easing...
Hi everyone just a quick update from me to let you all know I have joined Lime Blue!
Well what a year it’s been. The words I would use to sum up those first few weeks in March 2020 would be bewildering, frightening and unimaginable...
Our Creative Director, Clive Miller gives us a light-hearted look into his typical day in lock-down.
This lockdown period is an extraordinarily difficult period for everyone and we cannot be sure of the longevity and size of the impact it's going to have. But, it is amazing how the little things around you can really help to keep a sense of normal during this abnormal time. I have also found some solace in having to stimulate my creative mind in a different way by drawing from the natural environment I now have more time to appreciate. I am so thankful for the immediate team around me, our suppliers and customers who have shown resilience and support to us all.
As the world around us is being locked away and fellow colleagues are having to work from home we thought we would share our top tips on working from home and how to make it less daunting for those that are not used to it and may be feeling anxious.
At Lime Blue we are making sure we have our virtual coffee at 10 o’clock every morning via video call. This sets us up for a good start to the day, checking in on how everybody is, what their work plans are for the day and most of all it is nice to see some friendly faces.

Lime Blue's Senior Account Manager, Harriet Davis has been exploring the world of event apps and here she talks about how they are used and the benefits to organisers and delegates alike:
The app has become a staple element in the event world, becoming more of an expectation than a bonus, creating a pre event buzz and enhancing the event experience.
We have been providing apps for the past 5 years and have seen how much more sophisticated they have become as well as more widely used. The app removes the need for any printed collateral such as agendas, directories, pre reads etc and thus creating a more sustainable event beneficial to both the environment and the budget.
There are so many great European cities for events and incentives it’s difficult to narrow it down just to three. With access into Europe readily available from most travel hubs, a lot more destinations have started to open up as popular event destinations.
Having a coherent, balanced and consistent event identity helps to shape how an event is perceived by its attendees, so it’s vital to get it right. Every aspect of the event needs consideration, from the pre-event communications, onsite elements such as stage sets, signage and collateral to the post event communications, to really make your brand and messaging memorable.
We are reminded daily of the effects that global pollution is having on our planet. You only have to switch on the news, open a paper or scroll down your social media feed to see the harrowing images of sea life being devastated or mountains of plastic waste filling our land.
Here at Lime Blue we have always encouraged our employees to reduce waste as much as possible and for many years we have used our recycling bin; refilled our water bottles using a large water cooler as well as a shredder to reduce the amount of paper waste.
Gemma recently spent some time in one of our favourite incentive destinations, Africa. The trip was with her family and the visit included some time volunteering at a school close to her grandmother’s heart. Whilst the trip was a holiday, it would also make for a perfect incentive with a CSR element…
